You can spend a lifetime trying to find the right notebook, the one
you want to buy by the dozen, rack up on a shelf when full and travel nowhere
without. It's that thing that sits at the side of your bed for those moments of
inspiration (or doubt) and fits perfectly in your favoured pocket as if by
design.
Maybe it's because the smartphone threatens to make these things
obsolete that our need for the perfect notebook has become even more exacting.
My personal preference is the teNeues notebook. (I carried one everywhere with me on my recent trip to New York). It's a great size, the stock has a lovely texture and the combination of ruled and blank sheets is ideal.
Despite having the word 'cool' on its packaging, I actually think it is. I especially like the contrast of colour between the ribbon, elastic strap and cover. Simple, but effective. If only the same were true of its content.
